For Caregivers

Being a caregiver is hard work. If you are a caregiver of a child that you suspect is dealing with a mental health and/or substance use issue, we are glad you found this site. You are not alone. When things start to feel like they are getting out of control this is a safe place to find the supports and resources to help your family.

Where to Start

There are many places to get help. The path may not seem clear, but there is someone who can lead you in the right direction.

Family Smart: On the Family Smart website, you will find support, navigation assistance and information for families and caregivers of youth to help them connect with providers  and learn about supports for the mental health of children, youth and young adults.   Visit Family Smart Here

The Crisis Resources page on this site also lists resources that are for families in crisis or looking for broader resources and supports.

In Your Community

There are a number of local agencies and resources ready to help you. Please know that any child or young person can SELF REFER, meaning you can get help just by asking for it, without needing a referral from a physician or other medical professional.

Check the community closest to you for a list of local resources.
