Foundry was created to remove barriers and increase access to quality care for youth ages 12-24 in British Columbia. At the community level, Foundry centres bring together and intentionally integrate health, wellness and social services through meaningful partnerships and connecting services that may be operated by multiple organizations.

The Burns Lake Youth Services team collaborates with six of the Nations they serve: Cheslatta, Skin Tyee, Nee Tahi Buhn, Wet’suwet’en, Burns Lake Band and Lake Babine Nation to plan and deliver Youth Services programs, including the Standing Strong Program, Youth Hang-out Zone , and additional programming such as community kitchens, and Walk Tall.

All Youth Services programming is open to both Indigenous and Non-Indigenous individuals. Specific programs and services are organized by age and gender.

The Virtual Clinic provides culturally safe care to patients who need medical help after hours and wish to speak to a heath care team member (doctor, nurse practitioner, or nurse) by phone or video.
