Family practice clinics provide ongoing care such as general checkups, chronic disease management, reproductive and sexual health, disease prevention, mental health and wellness, and children’s health. Care at a family practice clinic is available to patients who are attached to a family doctor or nurse practitioner at the clinic.
“Mental health” is a concept similar to “physical health”: it refers to a state of well-being. Mental health includes our emotions, feelings of connection to others, our thoughts and feelings, and being able to manage life’s highs and lows.
